Trying to decide whether it's better to change my dash pad and add and a/c vent in the middle or just install the under dash vent that Vintage Air has for non original a/c cars.

Does anyone have a picture of a 69 camaro with the under dash vents and if so, any regrets?

v/a has you cut the non air dash pad and add the vent in the stock location. never seen an underdash vent setup on a 69

Thanks I will check into it. If that's the case I will buy a new dash pad for a/c car.

I could have sworn I read differently but maybe I was looking at the 68 camaro unit.

When I installed the Vintage AC in my 69 I did not like the look of the supplied vent from Vintage so I ordered a repop vent and AC dash. It looks factory. I have not seen one cut to put the vent in but it cant look good.

X2 I have used VA in three 69 non AC cars.

Cutting the pad and getting it to look right with the cheesy center vent supplied by VA right in the middle of you dash jush isn't gonna work IMHO

I always buy a new AC dash pad and center vent.

Sorta sucks because you add another $300 for the pad and $85 for a center vent when you just spent $1200 for the VA System.
