2'' drop Belltech springs arrived today, opened box to look at and I did not see any marking for top and bottom. There does not seem to be any difference but before I install Sat is there a difference?

Usually there is a difference. For instance Hotchkis drop springs need to be installed so that the Hotchkis brand name sticker is right-side up.

Springs usually come with a flat end, called closed end, and the other end is open end, as in not flat.
Set the spring on the floor, if it leans, the end sitting on the floor goes into the lower control arm. The flat end goes up into the frame pocket.

They do not have flat ends, I will try the standup method this evening when I get home.

Have you called Belltech and asked them which end is up?

Well, at least you didn't install your sway bar upside down like the guy in the other thread, even though the Hotchkis sticker was right there upside down in plain sight....lol

One would have thought they would have printed the instruction "This end up." somewhere on the box or put an 'UP' arrow on the tag.

I went ahead and put blue tape on top just in case I can't read Thu am when I start the install.

I wonder how many times the hung over factory worker puts the sticker on wrong !!! I would think there has to be a better way of telling. I work for Eaton Corp the worlds best truck transmission maker, and screw ups do happen .

If that happens and after the install there is going to be a hung over installer too

You would think this would save them some phone calls. Hotchkis makes it worse by putting some abstract number that does not come close to their catalog part number. This leaves you wondering if you got the right part.
