No way to tell. The pictures are crap. Contact him and see if you can get better shots.

Could be any one of one million plus GM engines produced.

Saw that auction just after it was listed, and thought that it seemed a little too much like the seller was making out he didn't know what he had (i.e. buddy thinks I'm crazy to hope for $500 for it, the bit about the carbs not being in a straight line on the intake, suggesting a cross-ram setup, etc). Yet all the right search key words were there in the auction title.....
Could have been genuine, but didn't come across like that to me. Pity there was no close-up pad stamp pictures too.

does anyone know why they are on some valve covers ? |

I agree wth Tim on this one. If you save something for 30 yrs you damn well know what you have unless your an idiot. I too have engines and tranny,s stashed in the garage but i know what i have and thier approximate worth that,s why i saved them. Alex

I guess i mean why do some cars have them and others dont. Are they only on ac cars or something and do you mean the spark plug wires? Ive only seen them on a few cars.

Mostly for early-type emissions wiring.
