I am trying to figure out why some posts can contain several full size photos that seem to go on forever and the most I can do is post two thumbnail photos. That seems to be all the photo storage space I am allowed.
And if I do try to post two photos, I have to go in and eliminate any previously posted photos to open up the alotted storage space. I tried to find the answer on the site but could only find info on posting classified ad photos.......The answer is probably there and I missed it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks..............Dave |

You can post as many photos as you want in a thread but they would have to be hosted offsite like in FLickr or other web based photo hosting sites. Then you post a link to them that opens full size. If you are using the storage allowed members here, it only allows a limited few unless you purchase the GOLD membership. Then this site will host the photos. The huge files in today's photos requires huge file storage capacity which costs more money. The Auto Forum company chooses this route to accomodate as many folks as they can. Hope that helps.

Go to Photobucket.com and host your picture there. Then copy the IMG link into your message and the picture will appear.

Jim and Mike....thanks for the replies and the good information. I will probably use the Photobucket option in the future.
Look at the attached link to a thread on this site and look at post #17 on that thread. Here you have four full size photos that are right there without clicking a link to a photo site......Do you know how they are able to do that? Thanks, Dave http://www.camaros.net/forums/showth...=209591&page=2 |

Dave those 4 pictures are hosted on photobucket and use what is called a hot link to display in the forums.
Here is the url (address of a picture) click it to see it. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...rt/Orange5.jpg and here is the same picture using the image tag (img [] url [] /img). Put the img and /img inside the brackets and the url address between them.

email and the forums are two different animals... Try a practice; copy and paste the full link I posted above that ends in "Orange5.jpg" into a post. Then add the [img] in front of it and [/img] at the end and hit "go advanced to see the results...

This is new to me. I was practicing and noticed on the photo bucket website there is a link on the right side bottom of the screen, all you have to do is click it and it will say copied. Go to your post and paste. Thanks TC for the help.
