I've got power steering that groans alot when the car is first used for the day(after the car warms up, the groan seems to go away). One of my "fix it" books states that this is common if the power steering fluid gets too low- mine is full. Front suspension has recently been lubed, so I don't think its the tie rods. Any other suggestions?

Unless it effects your performance, you should leave it alone. Although, this is probably an early sign that it needs replacement.

Take-it all out and put a manual steering box in and free up some more horsepower!!

Problem has disappeared, don't know why.
Perhaps air from some source in the lines? |
