I like to DVR them so that way I can watch a 5-hr. episode in 45 minutes after bypassing the commercials and filler material.
Wish for the day when I can turn the irritating voice of the auctioneer down and the voices of the hosts up. What's up with that. And how long is it gonna take them to get some quality mics and recording gear so can really capture those wonderful exhaust notes? Well I suppose I need to shut up and get out there and see it live. Had a revelation after seeing that 71 Vette the other day and decided to paint my '68 Laguna Gray - dam that looked like liquid molten metal wrapped around that car. Gotta say that the Customs/Restomods are where its at. It's great to see that sector climbing in leaps and bounds over the last decade. A '68 Camaro that would sell for $30k in perfeectly restored shape sells for $100k with non-original well done mods. I hope this trend continues and puts all the persnickity, retentive stock-minded gents back in the cob webs where they can't get offended by those who see something can be improved upon and have the gumption to go where no one has gone before. No offense to those fellas but it's gotten old and I'm glad to have a few pure examples around to put in museums for posterity but lets not let that get in the way of forward progress. Lookin forward to seein more over the next couple days but to be honest the first couple days when I can admire cars that may actually be seen on the streets one day are my favorite. |
