Default Oil pan for zz427 in 68

I am putting a zz427 in my 68. it had a396 in it. the drag link rubs the pan when turning. other wise there is about 1/8 clearance. does any one have part numbers for pans that work? I would like to retain oil capacity , 6 qts.
Thanks

You will need a 1 pc rear seal pan. B&B has one that fits.

Can you simply raise the motor a 1/4" or so to clear?

That sounds like the correct part no. I ordered for my 69, but I will have to check. I ordered mine from Summit Racing and got the pickup tube with it. I believe it is a GM part as well. I will try to check this.

Well, unfortunately I am undergoing a major remodel in my home and I cannot find anything pertinent to what I am interested in....

Can someone else help out with a part no. for the correct fitting oil pan?

Sorry to let you down...

I used a Milodon #30975. It requires pickup and I would recommend buying windage tray. Windage tray free's up 8-10hp.

Call Milodon tech. They are very helpful. I got everything thru Jegs or Summit. Cant recall now.

Dropped a 496 in a 67 Chevelle few months ago using Milodon pan and had to use a Moroso shim kit for pan clearance. Shims might work for your application.

I'm very interested in this thread also as I am getting ready to set a ZZ427 in my 69 Camaro.

Muscle Car is doing a NOPO to COPO show and putting the anniversary 427 in a 69.the engines are basically the same. you might want to watch it .

I am going to replace the idler and pitman arms with 5 3/4 ones. this may give me 1/2 inch clearance off the pan front. if that doesn't work I guess I'll have to pull the pan.

Rally Sport, Jeg's carries this pan as a kit that comes with 4 main cap bolts. Did you need to replace anything besides the gasket , pan, pick up and dip stick? 12495360 is listed as a 4 qt are you counting the filter oil for 5? Thanks .Bill

Just found the receipt for my oil pan I installed. Same Summit part no. Fits perfect, no clearance issues.
