Unhappy Re: Kool April Nites 19th-21st Redding cal.

Dang it
I'll be at a 50th anniversary party (no mine ) in Santa Barbra
Oh well at least he's a well known lawyer and throws great parties.
Maybe next year ...

BTW Steve, not sure if you were planning on going, but looks like I will not make HAN this year.
Not even sure how much time I'll be able to get up at Donner this summer ...

Well John, I know the feeling. Crap still getting in my way of fun. Broken sewer system at the shop, hot tub roof, and 20' container dropped off at the shop has me completley stopped on the camaro build right now.

Royce, still not sure if I'm going to the show saturday, but want to be down for the cruise with the RS. Not in the cruise, but genes drive-in after. You remember what happened to the car last year? Maybe I'll drive down a junker and ride with one of you guy's. LOL

Yes I remember what happened at the show last year, crazy. I really didn't want to do the show either, but my buddies talked me into it. It's a long day trapped at the fairgrounds.

I want to hit gene's too, I heard Thursday is the best night, but I would like to check it out Friday night. I don't know exactly where it is though.

"Hot tub roof" ... whoa - aren't you high-class
No roof on mine, just stars

And I imagine that Container is just the start of your underground 'Doomsday' labyrinth

My projects around here are much more mundane. Although there is a Bathroom remodel - with a rotted floor and a poorly installed leaking Jacuzzi tub removal - that looks like its going to be ton-o-fun and laughs in my near future
Now that I know you have experience in 'sewer' work I'll keep you on speed-dial

IIRC Gene's is west of the Sac. river on 273?
Think I exited Cypress off 5 and headed west to 273 So. and it was @ 1/2 mile down road - but it's been a few years so who knows (the ol' "rememerizer' ain't what it once was ...)
Stevo can wave you in

Royce, you will like Gene's Diner, lots of local blower cars.

Sorry Dayton, I'll get you up there again
I do intend to host another HAN BBQ at the Lake, just had to many family needs the last couple summers to pull it off

I may try to do like last year and run up for a day (or two) if I can.
Will try lock the dates for next year in sooner to see if a BBQ is in the cards for 2014.

I think I was last at Genes @4 years ago ...

Your right John. Go west on cypress, stay in the left 2 lanes, go all the way to the end, (about 1 1/2 miles) and follow it left that turns into the old hiway 273. You can't miss it from there.
Thursday is a good time also, friday tends to get over crowded, hard to find parking unless your early, but runs late into the night. (2-4 AM when we were street racing. )
I have mixed feelings about the show, I don't want to be trapped either. Going to the drags early is the way to go. After the show it's like a mad dash to the strip, long lines and parking in the fields.
I can drive my suburban down if you guy's want to go to the drags. Park your rides at the motel where thier safe and we could ride out in the burb. 69 4x4, we'd still be cool. LOL Something to think about anyway.

John, rotted floor & jacuzzi removal doesn't sound mundane to me. LOL
I've got to protect the tub from snowfall & leaves falling in the fall. Tired of baby-sitting it.
20' container to store some of the 30+ motors in & around the shop and other parts so I have more room to work.

And yes, I can work on sewer & plumbing systems. 3" pipe broke in 4 locations because hillside has moved in the past 25 years since installed and what a nightmare this is.
You can call me anytime to work on yours. All I want are the keys to your camaro. LOL
