what would be reason why my car is lacking power. it feels fast but not like it should.i am doing a compression test on it today. the shop that put my cam in put it in wrong they put it in instead of dot to dot on the gears they put it dot to key way. so i fixed that. and i am steal not feeling power. this is what i have. 383 with stock heads, mild cam, srp pistons,9-5-1 compression, trw rods 5.7, a complete msd ignition, hooker headers, 3 inch exhaust, 2 chamber flows,turbo 350 trans, 670 holley avenger carb,stealth intake. please help.

It really makes no difference if the the cam marks are dot to dot or both dots straight up, one full turn of the crankshaft, and they will line up dot to dot.

Check the timing. They might have put it to the stock timing for the year of the car.

i pulled 1-3-5-7 plugs last night and they had carbin biuld up and lots of oil on them. 40 miles on motor

May have to pull intake to see if intake gasket for that side was installed crooked or slipped.

Also, might pump in shop air into cylinders and listen for leakage, if you could pump in smoke along with the air, could really find the leak.

Smoke leak detection is great in finding intake leaks.
