Where is the VIN number on the motor? any help would be greatful.....

That depends on what year car or engine you have. Most early Camaros have the VIN stamped with the engine code of the pass side front of the block on the pad in front of the cyl head. Others (later in 69 model year and on??) had the VIN stamped back by the oil filter on the side in front of where the bellhousing bolts on. My 69 VIN is on the front pad and my 70 Z has in back by the oil filter.
