I bought a 68 camaro with a non number matching motor. 231506303K1130CKL Where can I go to get info about this engine, like is it a 350?

The numbers break down as thus..
231506303- 2-Pontiac Division-sure this is not a "1"? 3-1973 1-Oshawa Canada assembly plant 506303-VIN from the car engine came from K1130CKL- K-McKinnon engine plant, Canada 1130-November 30th, 1972, date engine was assembled CKL-350/145 horsepower,2 bbl, with T-350 trans. |

I rechecked the number is a 2. Does that mean anything.

Sorry for all the replys, This engine has headers and a Eldebrock manifold and 4 barrel. Do you know about how much horsepower that would add. This car seems very quick. I guess it could have had other work as well.

The "2" means your engine was originally installed in a Pontiac car. A "1" would stand for Chevrolet.
