There is No way to tell if it was a Big Block or small block by the trim or vin tag. If it is a Canadian SOLD car, GM of Canada will have it in their Vintage Vehicles Archives, and can tell you what engine option the car came with.
Whats the Tach redline? 6500 is a 427/435HP. Also if you can get the diff stamp numbers, and if the diff is original then the NCRS corvette guide has the diff codes for Big Block cars.
Hope this Helps.

The "108" is actually "I08", which is the body build date of April 8, 1968; can't tell anything from the VIN and trim tag besides build date, color, and trim. Engines weren't coded into Corvette VINs until 1972.
