Los Angeles Cars don't use X codes. The Y079 is the work order code which basically tells you the day of the month and the order the body was scheduled to be built. Based on your VIN Y would be very late in October of 68, (10D) probably the last day or two of the month, possibly the first day or so of November depending on how the transition from one month to the next occurred and it was the 29th body scheduled to be assembled that day.
What is the "P" number tag, is this the body number? Should be an L and the number should be in the 140000 range. Post the entire tag data. ------------------ Mark Canning 1969 Indy Pace Car 350/300HP RPO Z11 [This message has been edited by Mark C (edited 05-04-2001).] |

Frosty...I already have the #'s off that car....the tag reads:
ST 69 12437 LOS 154893 BDY TR 722 59 E PNT 10D Y078 I can tell you it is a base V-8 car (327 engine). Let me know if you do buy it..... ------------------ Steve McCorry - Central Ohio Camaro Club '69 Camaro RS/SS-350 - Daytona Yellow '95 Camaro Z-28 - Sebring Silver click here to see my webpage ---> www.mindspring.com/~mccorry (updated 3/10/01) [This message has been edited by mccorry (edited 05-04-2001).] |
