[KWIK 69]

I have never found any data regarding how to decipher trim packages from the LA plant.
In the bottom line of my cowl tag, I've got the numbers...

10c______m512

Now we all know the 10c is the assembly date coded as the 3rd week of October, but does anyone know how the m512 translates? I'm assuming it's a trim code/early version of the x-codes.

Mine is X 164 and my understanding is those numbers preceded by a letter were internal codes used only on LA built camaros. Anyone's guess as to what they meant, but they were not connected to options that anyone can decode at this time. Others will hop in here with their ideas too I hope.

The code is basically useless, however it does have some meaning. The letter coincides with the working day of the month the Body was built. For instance the letter X is the 24th letter, so your cars' body was built on the 24th working day of the month. This day was obviously towards the end of the month.
It was the 164th body built during the X period.

M is the 18th letter and so on.

This code sequenced throughout each month and started over at "A" at the last few days to the first few days of each month.

Am I confused or is M the 13th letter?
It would answer a lot of speculation to realize this car is in direct association with the number 13.
