Question

I NEED TO KNOW HOW YOU TELL IF ITS A REAL
Z28. IS Z28 THE ONLY CAMARO THAT CAME WITH E70 TIRES? HOW ELSE CAN I TELL, I AM GETTING READY TO DRIVE 6 HOURS TO LOOK AT ONE.

The ONLY way to tell is by ORIGINAL paperwork and/or ORIGINAL Protecto-Plate. If I were going to spend quite a bit of money buying something like this, I would pay someone like Jerry McNeish (sp?) whatever he wanted to look at the car and verify if it's an Original one.
Rick

p.s. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.

Sorry I misread the post. 68 Z's need a build sheet to tell for sure. Cary

I disagree. 68s are slightly tougher to deal with than 67 or late 69 Norwoods because of the trim tag, but except for the trim tag (which can be faked, along with most anything else) there are essentially as many ways to prove a 68Z as any other first-gen. Some are better than others. Obviously any documentation can work, including window sticker, invoice, protect-o-plate, as well as a broadcast sheet. A VIN stamped correctly dated engine of the proper code is a good sign when all the other signs are also consistent. There are additional, but less certain clues, some of which are documented in the following table:
