hope i am in the right place for this question. i have a 1971 camaro. i believe it is a true SS, but i have not been able to confirm this. long ago, under the carpet, i found a (piece) of the page that had the options that the car came with. one of the readable items was "super sport package". (i can't for the life of me remember what i did with that piece of paper.) anyway, the cowl tag says, ST 71-12487 L 08830 BDY TR 787 49 49 PNT O3A 532793 010564 i have done reasearch on this but all the info says it should have Z27 on the tag if it is a SS. i have it listed on ebay and yes i read the post about the guy in here that got a bad deal. i am not trying to rip anybody off (unless you think my price is outragous) and i am not trying to sell my car in here, but i would like to know what i have, for my own piece of mind. one guy who was asking questions about the car said that he had (heard) the cars made in california did not have the Z27. do you think there is any truth to that. i be thankful for any help you guys can give me. |
