If you provide Chevrolet with the vin number of your vehicle, could they reproduce the Protect-O-Plate, Trim Tag or Build Sheet? If I can't locate these items, is there any other way to trace them?

No, and no. Chevrolet does not claim to have any records from these cars. If you're trying to document something, you'll have to try to go back to the guy you bought it from and see if he can remember who he got it from and so on, until you get to the original owner.

This only Applies to cars sold inside the USA, I have a canadian Sold 69 Camaro Ragtop in which I requested information on from G.M's head Office in Oshawa Ontario Canada. they sent me a copy of an import sheet which listed my camaro and many others, Have a look.... http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/F...buildsheet.JPG ------------------ |

That's right, ragtop. I had forgot about you lucky guys that had cars sold North of the border. I seen a sheet from GM for a COPO car at Auburn this spring.
