I was painting the cowl wiper area with POR yesterday and with brush in hand and spotlight I reached way under the opening where it backs up to the power brake booster and spotted the M40 stamped in the cowl. Its where a camera wont reach to take a pic but does anyone have any idea what that might be for? Part number of the cowl panel?
thanks

Cool thanks Kurt that makes sense. Would the M mean 13th or something else?
I also found stamping on the rear panel passenger side not far from the speaker hole but I cant make them out at all, so thin. Also one in the rear passenger seat pan again so thin I cant make it out.
Its neat finding all these numbers.
By the way, what are the dates for the big cruise there in Mich?

I think M could be the press # (which machine). Not sure.

No idea on the Woodward cruise, but SuperFest is July 4th weekend.

Click,

I have these stampings all over mine also.

K44 is my stamping. Like Kurt said 44 is the week which makes since since I have an early November car. Some of them are stamped K44 0134 or something like that.

Here's my firewall pic, it's hard to make out the K44, but it's there.

M = Fisher Body Mansfield Stamping Plant

K = Fisher Body Kalamazoo Stamping Plant

The Woodward Cruise is Saturday, August 16th, but the fun starts on Monday and builds up through the week
