The protect-o-plate is a metal plate about the size of a credit card attached to the warranty booklet. It is reverse stamped with letters and numbers and also has the original owners name, address, and delivery date of the car. If you have one it's likely in the glove box with the owners manual and other papers. If not, perhaps one of the old owners still has it? The POP listed quite a bit of info about how the car was equipped from the factory including complete drivetrain information and some option information. Try doing a search and you'll get some more info.
