That is a definitive maybe.

Nothing it a 69 LA car will indicate the model.
See <A HREF="http://www.camaros.org/diffs69.shtml
" TARGET=_blank>http://www.camaros.org/diffs69.shtml
</A> for identifying features.

The VIN and trim tag #'s look correct, i.e. haven't been swapped.

Heck if it's got Z emblems it's a Z isn't it?

I noticed one day when I was posting that related topics were showing on the page I was posting on. (or in that area someplace) Some of them were old posts.

burntbunz may have seen those and responded to an old post.

RS3SDL2MG That "it's a Z by now for sure" comment was perfect!!

Glad your all having fun with this. After becoming a member the day before and getting great and friendly advise about my Z and what to look for I thought I would return the favor by trying to help as well, however I did not think a site this good would have something 6 years old posting still?? What is that about???

After working on my car that day ALL day the last thing I thought of was to look at the date something posted, especially late at night. Just thought it was new since there were no replys.

So enjoy poking your fun, I was just trying to help someone like me that needed help, and man enough to post back and tell you all what happened. Anyone wanting to go futher with this should really get a life.

burntbunz ,
I'm not poking fun at all, I was sticking up for ya. Don't take it personally, we all enjoy the '67-'69 Camaro and are here to help each other out.

The "related topic" posts might need to be re-worked.

It's all in good fun. This is really a great site with a good group of members. All of the posts (except mine) were in response to the comment about the car being a Z by now, meaning that there have been a ton of Z clones in the last few years. No need for harsh words.

In my book whoever has a real camaro is alright by me!! Anyone else agree??

I thought the post about it being a "Z28 by now" was great, I laughed. I got defensive with "newbie" when all I wanted to do was help like everyone did with my orginal post over the weekend.

Z28 doug has been especially helpful decoding my car cause I was worried I had a clone because I did not have anything in writing to prove it really was a Z, now because of all of your responses and this site I know I don't. I can drive it and be proud knowing I own the real deal not one on these clones.

I pitty the guys who pays almost 6 figures for An "orginal Z28 cross ram" that has Ac!! I think it was on collector car trader online last week when I saw it.

Everyone have a great day,

Steve

The main reason why there are posts that are 6 + years old is so you can go back and search the old posts and maybe find the answer to your question. The same questions keep getting asked over and over and many times the search function is not used. I dont mind answering these questions at all.

I just pointed out that you may not get a response from the original poster above because the post is 6 years old.

Hey Steve (burntbunz) ya have got to be a newbie at some point in everything. It's not a reference to anything bad... Welcome to Team Camaro and don't forget, newbie buys the next round... As far as the old posts go Jonsey is correct but there is something else that pertains to this forum and this thread that kept it around since there was only one reply... This site doesn't keep a database of cars like the CRG or some of the members here do, but we sure get a lot of vin and cowl tags posted looking for info. Imagine the car you want to buy is vin 9L527385 and you searched this forum and found this thread. You would be able to learn a guy name Brad owned the car in '99 and thought it might be a Z/28 and he was from Campbellsport, WI. You might even be able to e-mail contact him depending on how he set up his profile. That's a good reason to keep a post that didn't go anywhere around I think you would agree...

Dennis,
But I did notice that when the board got converted over, the default became your email was hidden, even if you had it shown on the old board.
So most people have their email set to non-visible and don't even realize it. I just fixed mine the other day.
