My question is:

What is the difference between NOR and LA built Z-28's

Did the two factories use the same "exact" parts to assemble the cars ?? I am asking this because I am looking into Intake manifolds and I see that some of them have the "snowflake" casting on them...Is it because cars built in Ohio had them and LA did not ???

Thanks...

I have never seen a 1969 VN/LOS built Z-28 without the #3932472 Intake with a Winters Industries 'Snow-Flake' Logo on it. I don't know if anyone else ever cast these intakes for GM.
The 69's used the same style aluminum intake as the 67-68's (#3917610), but didn't use the Oil Fill Hole in the front (it was plugged) or the Bypass Hose (also plugged). There was a slight difference in the location of the Thermostat Hole for 69 also - it was centered on the Intake instead of offset to the Left or Drivers side of the manifold.
Hope this helps - post back with the casting numbers and dates if you can.

Both Camaro assembly plants were serviced by the same engine & axle plant.

Other than VIN stamping and PTB stamps I know of no differences between Norwood and Van Nuys.
