My employer is looking at a 69 Z at Wagners, it is Daytona Yellow, with yellow houndstooth. The cowl tag numbers are
VN319082 BDY 04C J528 The VIN is 124379L528XXX (I have the VIN at work, not here. will post later.) The block is dated V0407DZ (seems to be a common stamped date??) BUT- the VIN is also stamped up behind the alt. on the same pad. Did not the VN plant put VINs down by the oil filter, like Norwood cars? Thanks!! Dave

Dave,
My 02C Van Nuys Camaro has the VIN # stamped on the pad. I used to have an original DZ block that was out of a November '68 Van Nuys car and the VIN was stamped by the oil filter on that one...... This info might be in the link Gary provided, just thought I would throw it out there anyway.

My JL8 car is an April VN car with the partial VIN up on the pad. I'm guessing this car is a mid-late April car.
