Can anyone tell me what kind of car my engine came from. the stamp on the passenger side stamp pad is v1031tjc. I can't see any casting numbers-don't know where to find them. It is a 350 with a 4 bolt main.

The "tjc" assembly code is used for several year models of gm light duty trucks (73 included). You will have to look on the rear bellhousing mount area to find the casting number and date.
A parcial VIN number may also be present on the front pad area you got the assembly code from, it will also help define the use and model year.
