how can you tell what kind of engine you had
in a 69 camaro or anything about the car if
there are no trim tags, and is there anyway
to find out what x code the car was?and how
can you replace the trim tags once they have been taken off.

I'd be real leary of a car with no cowl tag. About the only thing you can find out is if the car was a 6 cyliner or 8 cylinder on the VIN tag, assuming it's still there.
Do a search in the tag team section, you'll learn all you need to know about '69 VIN's.

What elese can you tell us about the car?
Power disc brakes? or Drum?
Powerglide or TH350/400 or
Muncie or Saginaw?
Number of rear leaf springs?
10 or 12bolt rear?
does the fuel line have a return line?
What the VIN?
There's more to look for...
What engine is in it now?
