Crossdrilled rotors might be a little lighter. Ive never compared the weight of mine but they do dissapate heat better and seem to do a good job of improving braking. I got mine from Summit for around $90 a piece.

Hey, thanks. I was considering those, but I was wondering if anyone made aluminum hub type rotors?

Glad to help. Post back after you get them to let everyone know what you think. Quality, weight savings, performance etc., anything else to let everyone know if they are worth the money/effort.

Hey Bry.www.classicperform.com in Buena Park offers a kit that has aluminum hubs. I'm think of using it and cross drilled rotors when I do my disc brake conversion. Let me know how it turns out

Hey that is a pretty cool deal as well I need to think about the choice now but it will prob. be price that dictates the kit to use.

check out the eradispeed rotors from Baer.

I would not put the willwood brakes on your camaro. The rotors are smaller than stock and you will have less stopping ability than with stock brakes.
David.

The 13" rotor conversion weighs in at a shade over 50 pounds a complete knuckle assembly.

David has posted the weights for a couple more but I would have to look for them.

I wonder about aluminum hubs and stuff due to the difference between the coeff. of thermal expansion being so different between cast-iron and aluminum. I know they've done their homework on the kits to sell them, but still??

I think that I would look for lighter (but strong) alloy wheels and lighter tires to save unsprung weight before I would buy the high priced spread. But, hey, if you got it to spend, go for it. IMHO. pdq67
