Wow, those look really nice. I have the Global's on my ride, paid more for them than these. I wonder if they have the geometry figured out on these. Trick stuff.

they are supposedly built to stock specs, but with the way they are adjustable, you can make them damn near any shape/size you want. if you look thru some of their other control arms, they can be lengthened or shortened by a couple of inches just by turning the adjusters. looks like you could also crank in as much caster as you could ever need with them, too.
my only question is about the bumpstops- where are they? do you put a limiting strap on the lower control arm or just not worry about it?

I like all the adjustments, but it looks like they might have some flex and the potential to pull apart at the bolt fastenings?

Dont you guys think that on real roads not the race track those arms bolted with bolt on the shaft would detorate and wheel would flex front and back hence they move?

Hey Guys,
I was looking at some other forums and came across some GTO/LeMans owners running Pole Position a-arms. I know people are concerned about durability and about strength, but one gentlemen has been running the a-arms for about two years now and no problems. So, can these work, Pole Positions website shows a street camaro on the same page as the a-arms. I would think they have throughly tested them out before taking on the liability of selling them. What do you guys think? Here's the website: http://groups.msn.com/70MonteCarlo/arm.msnw

when i first saw these arms, i thought maybe all the bolt locations could work loose over time. then i thought about it- the upper arm is pretty much along for the ride. most of the loads are handled by the lower arm, and the upper just essentially keeps the top of the spindle in the proper place.

Lots of hardware that could come loose, but that probably isn't going to happen with careful assembly.
I do worry about lack of a bump stop in droop. If you have a short stiff front spring, it could come unseated by just jacking the car up.
The angle of the ball joint flange looks rather flat in relation to the arms.
I'd have to compare that to a stock A arm.
I'm wondering if the upper ball joint angle is correct.
David
