I have a 1969 camaro ss F41 suspension quick ratio power steering (one turn of steering wheel lock to lock). I want to replace pitman arm part #3953227CMT1B OEM, but am unable to locate new part from GM Canada has any else experienced this problem? Any suggestions? Any Sources?

1 turn?
I thought the fastest ratio was 2,4..

I ran down to the local parts store and bought one for my '69, cost about $60.

I'm with Racing on this one!

One turn, lock to lock? Are you absolutely positive on this? If so, where can I get one of those???

If I had one of those, was driving along and sneezed, which ditch would I go into, the right, or the left?

(Sorry, I'm in a sarcastic mood right now, I don't really mean it)

Cool Re: 1969 Camaro pitman arm

Without any slop in the steering an SS or Z/28 is 2 turns lock to lock, actually a hair over 2 turns but more like a sixteenth to an eight of a turn more. It makes for a fun driving car. One turn lock to lock would not be very drivable.

Smile Re: 1969 Camaro pitman arm

That's quite a bit faster than my quick ratio, special order manual steering '67 SS/RS car and F-41 suspension on it!

Mine is like 3.5 turns lock to lock at the S/F stops! And like 1 turn to turn a 90 degree street corner in town.

Not worth a damn parallel parking but great at speed.

I have P/S on it now b/c of it..
