Hello all,
Is there any advantage to running QA1 coilovers over a conventional spring with an afco adjuster? Is one stronger than the other? I'm guessing that the conventional spring has more choices in spring rates , but is that it?
thanks
Kelvin

The QA1 attaches to the shock bolt area, I don't know how strong it is, I think there is a reinforcement that bolts in, but you are limited to their special coils which taper from stock size on top to the 2.5" ID bottom.
You are also limited to using their shocks which should be OK, but you can't try other brands because of the special spring and mounting.

I bought QA1 adjustable non-coilovers to try, but will use a nascar "hidden" adjuster on top of the nascar "stock appearing" coil spirng, which is available in fifty lb increments.
By the way the QA1's are very heavy shocks, even though they are aluminum, mine look like unthreaded coil-overs.
