Are the '67 SS's the only Camaros that had the passenger side traction bar? If so, then any rear axle with a traction bar bracket welded to it, must be an original '67 rear axle right?

What did '68 and '69's have, if they didn't have the one traction bar.

They had staggered rear shocks, the left hand side shock was moved to the rear of the axle. They also specified a multi leaf spring for all 12 bolt cars, mono leaf for low perf Camaros.

Ok. So the '68 and '69's DID NOT have the traction bar then?

The 1967's were the only year to have the traction bar. It started mid december of '66. so if your car was built before that, it won't have a traction bar. Even if it is a SS. The '67 had both shocks bolted on the same side of the rear end, thus the reason for putting on the traction bar. In '68, they started stagering the shocks and bolting one behind the rear end and the other in front.

My early, '66 car is an SS/RS and doesn't have the bar and also had mono springs too..

NO mono's anymore tho...

pdq67

PS., FWIW, I ordered it with the supposed H/D, F-41 suspension package too.. It only had the 11/16" dia. front sway-bar on it.. I put an Addco, 1"er on it and their 3/4" rear S/B too...

I may have to ditch the rear bar tho in the future once I see how it handles???
