I have just replaced the inner and outer tie rods on my '67. After you screw the tie rods into the sleeves, you need to tighten the clamps on the sleeves to hold tie rod ends in place. My question is, do the two clamps need to be positioned in a certain way on each of the sleeves? Thanks!

No, they can basically be positioned anyway you like. You probably want to line it up so the bolts are easily reached with a wrench. But I guess it really doesn't matter anyway seeing that you need a front end alignment and whoever does it will have to loosen the bolts on the sleeve and adjust the tie rod ends anyway. I'd say just tighten is up as close as you can to what the old one were like and drive to your nearest alignment shop.

Jay, thanks for the input, good point, a shop will need to get to those for alignment so I will let them do the final set up.
