I just bought a 69 with the small brake pedal, but i want to replace it with the large auto trans type. is this hard? how is it done? thanks
john the car was originally a 4 speed but now has a 350 turbo trans. |

This is very easy. Crawl under your dash, look up at the pivot point. You will seee a pin that slides through brake and clutch pedal. At one end is a clip, disconnect the clip and slide the pin out. The pedals should come out with a slight pull. Reverse order to re-install. Power brake cars have a small bracket welded to it, if your pedal is from a manual brake car and you have power brakes make sure you have it. I belive it controls the power brake switch.
