I just mocked up the C5 setup on my 16" rims but the stiffner ribs are in the way. I really don't want to grind them off. Plan B now is to stuff a C4 13" setup in as others have.

Does this mean you have a set of C5 brakes for sale? Email me if you do..

Dennis, if this constitutes an illegal "wanted" I'll apologize in advance.

You may want to talk to these guys, if I understand you already have the calipers. They have a hybrid set up that uses C4 13" rotor & C5 caliper that helps with clearance on 16" rims

Touring Classics

cheers

PDQ - I have Tyler's brackets which are for LS1 type calipers with 12" rotors.

Roger - thanks. I'll shoot them an email. I didn't see the mention of 16" accomodation.

Dennis - I sent Rich an email.

Touring Classics offers C5 caliper options but agree that a C5 caliper won't fit inside 16" rims.

Any other leads on C4 adapter brackets? I tried ebay too.

Their C4 brackets are for a C5 caliper/C4 rotor. The problem is that the C5 caliper is larger and won't fit inside a 16" rim. A C4 caliper is a bit smaller and will fit with the 13" rotor.

I just got a set of brackets. Thanks everyone.

Just got done with C5 front calipers / C4 rotors on my 69 using Todd's brackets (Speedtech). Worked out really well. Photos at the link below. Todd has brackets designed to accommodate a C4 rotor and he has a version for the thicker C5 rotor as well. -Rob
