Smitty:

Im sorry to bring you bad news, but the 17 x 9.5 won't work up front no matter what with out whipping out your cutting torch for the control arms and fender wells. I will tell you what DOES work though. I put those same wheels on my car 17x 9 back, 17 x 8 front. The back spacing needs to measure 4 inches, or 102 MM. I had great success with that backspacing all around, and P 255 35 R 17 back, and P 235 35 R 17 Front. Hope I have been some help!

Are you sure you installed the American TorqThrust II's? The manufacturers website has rim widths of 17x8 and 17x9.5, not 17x9 as you mentioned. Also, they dont show a 4" backspace available for the 17x9.5 inch rim...the smallest backspacing they show for the 17x9.5 is 5.5".

Smitty,

Go to www.nastyz28.com. Do a search on 17" TTII's. they have the offsets that work.

By the way the Hotchkis second gen Camaro ran the 17X9.5's on the front with no mods. There is a link to the article over there.
