When running 17" wheels, moving the shock inboard adds not clearance, the wheel clears the shock. The limiting factor is your inner fender.

For the front I tried putting a 275/40 on a 9.5" rim and it hit the back of the inner fender when turning. Control arms played no factor in the equation.

I think I'm putting the biggest that will fit: front 17x8 with 5.25 bs, 255/40 17
rear 17x9.5 with 5.5 bs, 275/40 17

Donnie. It's been a bad day man. Those wheels were suppose to be here last week. Then they promised me they'd be here today. I called them, and they F-uped the order. The got me confused with another Camaro. The wheels aren't even completly made yet. They're suppose to finish them today, and then next day ship them tomorrow, so they'll be here on Thursday. I swear, it's like to I have to fly out to California and put the order in myself? You can't trust anyone to do anything right. I already entered my car to the World of Wheels show downtown, and you have to move your car in on thursday from noon to 9 pm. So it's getting down to the wire. I wanted to get them earlier so I could test drive the car some since I did so much to it like brakes, springs, and power steering. I hope everything works, or I'll be putting it on the trailor. If those wheels aren't here Thursday, I'm going to be a little pissed. I haven't forgot about you though, when I get some pics I'll let you know. Mark

Mark- Man, that sucks dude. I hope you get them on Thursday. They covered the next day shipping right? I sure hope my order doesn't get all messed up!
Good luck,
Donnie

Yeah they covered the shipping. I borrowed my buddies 17" wheels he runs on his 69 camaro. I took some pics so I'll show you those too, when I get mine on. He runs 17x7, 4.5 bs, 245/40. And 17x9.5, 5.5bs, 275/40. They look pretty good, just not my favorite style.
