It does fit, but if you have a cowl induction air cleaner, it will need to be dented with a ball peen hammer to clear the cap. Also you will need to run a heavier gauge wire to run the HEI. The existing coil wire will not have enough voltage to run the HEI properly.

Good call Dave.If ya wanna use a HEI,iŽd suggest that u replace the coil wire(+) at the junction on the firewall with a non resistance one.

davie i have an 1987 camaro i just put a new moter in it and i cant get the starter to kick i noticed a box next to the battery with 4 or 5 wires coming from it do those wires hook up to the wire conecter on the side of the fule injection air intake ?
