Talking

I posted this in the orginal thread, but did not want it to get buried there:

For those who have not seen it:

Wow, as someone already said "what diversity".

Interesting results to this point.

JohnZ - you are the oldest (and I would say one of our wisest members).

Average Age: 36 years
Youngest: 17 years
Oldest: 59

Number of members in their:

Teens: 4
20s: 16
30s: 31
40s: 22
50s: 7

IMO, I think the low number for the members in their 50s is due more to unfamiliarity with computers and the internet than those who partake in the hobby.

IMO, I think the low number in the teens is a result of those just getting into the hobby.

Average number of years as owner of car: 7

Keep 'em coming. Hope my math was good. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, but that doesn't mean I can count

I thought this was a great post. I realy enjoyed learning more about each person and looking at the pictures of their cars, and I looked at ALL of them that posted their page. When it dies down I'm going to print it.

Since you have that BS how about some more statistical analysis. Which age group has the most years owned, what is the breakdown by year (ie # of 67, 68, 69), # of coupes RS, SS, Conv, etc

I personally thought it was a great idea for intros. I learned a bit about the people that frequent this site. You could have done one better and that would of said what you do for a living, I personally do paint and body work.

Okay, this thread is gonna explode now!

You computer savvy guys will love this, I install DSL(Digital Subscriber Line). For those of you unfamiliar with DSL, similar to a cable modem, but over telephone lines instead of Co-ax.

Check out my company website www.covad.com

Great post. Also good idea about asking what people do for a living. I'm currently a senior in college and begin the California Highway Patrol academy next year.

I'm a machinist. In places like Palm Beach the elite keep the working man down, but here in Missouri we machinists do ok (inside joke)

Well, I don't know if I should admit it here, but I cut bodies up! I am the Autopsy Supervisor at the local University Hospital. I am trying to change, really. I start back to school in January, for machining and manufacturing, and hopefully will get into something more with my hobby. I'd like to do some mechanical engineering, because the medical field just isn't what it used to be! Anybody want to hire an apprentice machinist, I can I've got EXCELLENT anatomy skills!
