Bought a '68 witha 454. The builder left the heater disconnected because the heater core inlets are right up against the valve cover, and the heater core needs to be replaced anyway. THe car is originally small block w/AC. I can buy after market heater core for big block w/o AC, just don't know if firewall feed thru and under dash housing is the same. Any sugestions? Thanks

the 68 big block came with a differant heater core as you say . the only differance with the heater box was a hole cut to allow the pipes out to the left.if your car has factory air cond ,that was offered with 396 option,so you would be all set.

Try calling D&R classics they will beable to help you out. They are in the Chicago area. On the west cost try Z&Z auto in the LA area.

Both places carry a good supply of used parts for Camaros and are very good people to deal with.
