Hey guys, I was wondering if there is anything wrong with putting a in-line fuel filter before the fuel pump as opposed to between the fuel pump and carb. Thanks in advance for any input!

I would think that you would want nothing but hose between the filter and carb, that way you can be sure you have clean fuel. If you put it before the pump, any crap that is generated by the pump will have a straight shot into your engine.

I ran mine before the pump as I had found a bunch of crud that came from the tank and was lodging in the fuel pump and passing on to the carb. Put a filter before and after for a time to catch all the trash, then left only the one before. Leave it before because some was getting stuck in the pump diaphram and keeping it open when the engine had run. It pulled the gas back out of the carb.
