We have a 69' Camaro and we are thinking about buying the new American torq-thrust "D" wheels 8 1/2 x 15 for the rears and 7 x 15's for the front. Has anyone tried these on a camaro? Thanks

Being an x-empolyee that developed the TT II's in the larger sizes and a 69 Camaro nut, I can help. Do not try to use the 15x8.5 in the rear. They have a BSS of 3.75" and will protrude out of the car and cause rubbing. 15x7 all four with 235/60/15 tires is a great wheel/tire set up. If you want more tire on the rear you will need to get the TT II's 15x8 with a BSS of 4".

Thanks tracyracy for the info. Don't mind Ogers reply. He did that to raz us. He is a good friend that has been helping us from the day we took it out of a barn. The car has a big block in it now and we'd like to have as much tire as we can back there. Haven't had any information on the torque thrust II wheels but we will look into it. Thanks.

Check the www.americanracing.com web site. I think that you will find that the available back spacing for Torque Thrust D's is very limited. You can find a similar looking wheel at www.vintagewheelworks.com They have a better range of back spacing. I have no personal experience with this wheel, but have seen pictures of a camaro (on this web site) with them.

Can't even have any fun without someone getting mad. Actually the rat that ran out of the engine was probabily madder than any one. What size did the Yenkos come with?
