Question

I am putting a 700 R tranny in my 83 Z28 inplace of the 200C, 3 speed. Can anyone who has a 3rd gen Camaro with a 700R, give me the length of the driveshaft. I need to know ,before I go the boneyard and look in the OLD SCHOOL BUS!!, with all the driveshafts in it, to find the right length. All the Camaros there are minus their shafts. Thanks! Bob...

at the yards around here, they mark all the shafts they take out of the cars. if you can find a camaro with the tranny and rear in it, but no shaft, you could measure from yoke to yoke and find one that is the same length.

Put a yoke in your transmition, then pull it out 1 in. Then measure center to center of the u joints. Then go measure the ones at the yard and get one the same size.
