Can you buy a replacement resistor coil wire for my wire harness. The rest of the harness is in good shape. Someone cut the wire.

Probably, I don't know where...
I know there is resistance wire that looks like plain normal wire. It was used on early Fords before they used resistors inside the coil.
Early 60's International trucks used the delco point ign too, 304 gas engine. You might be able to buy the wire from an IH dealer.

Hey, there are two other options. One is to buy a later-model coil with an internal resistor (i.e. 4 Ohms across terminals vice 1.5 Ohms). The other is to install a ballast resistor from the parts store attached to the coil on the starter side. You might try Pertronix, the guys who make the electonic ignition conversion for points distributors. They can give you all the info you need on correct voltage and resistance levels and different options for making the system work, and they offer 1.5 and 4.0 Ohm coils for about $26.00. Laabs
