you may want to look up a schematic of your wiring diagram to get the correct color codes in a Chilton manual, not the cheasy pep boys ones, the big one, there like 30 bux, but sometimes you can find them cheap <10 at dollar stores, or swap meets. There used to be a good wiring diagram at
http://www.wiringdiagrams.com/ , but the person sold the domain to someone else and they tok it all down, it has said coming soon again for about 5 months...

here's some direction for you to go. when the ignition is turned on the fuel pump relay activate's the fuel pump for 2sec's to prime the injector's if rpm signal is not recieved by this time the ecm deactivates the fuel pump at this time when the engine starts the ecm closes the fuel pump relay activating the fuel pump as a backup system to the f.p relay the fuel pump can also be activated by the oil pressure switch the o.p switch is normally open until the pressure hit's 4 p.s.i if the fuel pump relay fails the o.p switch close's when oil pressure is obtained turning on the fuel pump an inoperative fuel pump relay may result extended crank time's due to the time required to build oil pressure also when you are looking for tech info be sure to include your eng code 8th digit of your vin # [E OR F] as for those pesky rat's try these 2 thing's [1] inform them to leave and never to return or there's a world of hurt headed there way ,if this don't do it then procede to step [2] e- mail me for tech info on the rat trap i built when those pesky sucker's were snacking on the wiring on my 69 r/s s/s it involve's using a 15'0000 volt charge capacitor from an old neon sign ,it worked for me!!!
