Hey guys, I have a problem that I hope you can help me with.

Here is the problem, first I had to rewire the passenger (right) side headlight with a new socket (pigtail) becuase the old one was missing the wire that goes to the side marker lamp and ground (it only was connecting 2 of the 3 prongs on the back of the headlight.) Okay, so now I have got perfect headlights. But I do not have any light at the front marker light under the bumper on the right (passenger side) (the same side I had to rewire the headlight socket). I didn't check before I rewired the headlight, but I really don't think it lit then either, but it may have. When I hit the turn signal lever, the rear lights come on solid and the front end does nothing (doesn't come on). When I hit the four-ways (hazard lights), the rear blink but nothing up front not even a steady light, nothing. When I turn on the lights, I have all the lights except for the one front marker light on the passenger side underneath the bumper in the lower valence panel. The left turn signal indicator bulb isn't working and I haven't replaced it yet and I also haven't gotten to replace the blinker becuase I really think my problem is soley in the front end wireing or something somewhere. This car was a basket case that was put together when my dad bought it in 1994, but slowly we've been fixing the mistakes and hacks that previous owners have made. The lights and turn signals haven't worked since day one, now I have lights, but I still need to get those turn operating.

I have been going of the front lighting schematic in the 1968 Chevrolet Service manual and everything seems to be right, but I still don't know whats up with this front turn signal problem, anyone got any ideas?

Thanks guys,

I suspect bad grounds on the parking lights. They must have good wiring and good grounds to work. The grounds corrode easily and break contact. The bezel can have corrosion as well, doing the sane thing.
