Do the clearance lights on a 67 rs have to be on when the headlights switch is activated? Also the front right turn signal does not come on. I have checked the rear turn signal and it works fine. The front turn signal has new bulb and housing. Checked the wires behind the housing and i get no power. Could it be the switch inside the steering colume? Any help would be apprecited.

Check the grounds on those parking lamps. Also, make sure the ground on your right front fender is well connected. Could be the switch. If the ground check turns up nothing then I'd get a schematic, disconnect the column connector and short the flasher power to each turn signal line. This will narrow it down further and eliminate the switch. Of course your messing around with 12 volts and have to have the schematic to be sure you know what your about to do.

Thanks I'll try that this afternoon. What about the lights are they only for turn signals or are they supposed to turn on along with the headlights just like on the cars now and days.

Emilio, the turn signal lights on a 67 RS do not come on when you turn on the lights.
They will if you turn just the parking lights on, but as soon as you pull the switch all the way out for headlights, they go out. This is normal for these cars. I kinda wish they'd stay on myself.
I agree with dnult, check for ground on the turn signal not working. Could be something else but.....start there anyway.

Just take the rear wire out of the clip on the headlight switch and move it to the only open port in the front of the headlight clip.

Thanks found the problem to be a break in the wireing. What could be the problem if the blinker indicator stays on (on the dash)and when you activate the blinker it works. Could it be the relay? Thanks for the help!!

The blinker module depends on current flowing through it to heat up a bi-metalic strip which pops open (ping) and then cools off and closes (pong). If there isn't enough current drain (such as burned out bulbs or bad connections) it will come on and stay on since there isn't enough current flow to heat it up.
