Just wanted to know if the camaro and firebird harness is interchangable. I am talking about the complete setup, incl. the fuse block, underdash, and light harness.

hmmm.... that is REALLY debateable. I think painless wiring offers one for 67-69 Camaro/Firebird, but since it is universal i would assume that there is some lengthening/shortening involved. If you need a harness, go to year one (a little higher, but good quality) since they have both and could tell you the difference. ALso you might want to try "Lectric Limited" I came across them at the Bloomington Vette show a couple years ago. They make complete reproduction harnesses for GM vehicles (i think to the original spec exactly) good luck

Check with M&H Electrical Fabricators at http://wiringharness.com/ . They are VERY helpful. And if you need a harness they make them for many of the suppliers.

Well let’s see... the Firebird headlight harness, Firebirds have quad headlights and the park lights are under the bumper. The engine harness, Pontiac starters are on the drivers side, oil pressure sending unit is on the pass side rear at the filter, water temp sending unit is front off center on the intake manifold. Interior harness, Firebirds did not use gauges in the console or courtesy lights in the sail panels. Tail light harness, A Firebird has two tail light and one backup light bulb per tail light assembly.
Those are the only differences I can think of...
