Cool

OK guys, I am re wiring some things and I want to know where the best place is to pick up a switched power source under the dash. Someone told me that the heavier guage tan wire at connection near the bottom of the steering column is the best place to tap into for a switched source. I need power for radio, guages, etc.

Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike. Fuse box has provisions for accessory position 12 volts, ignition position switched 12 volts, lamps (even with dimmer capability) and such. Look for male spade tabs, close to the fuses, and use a test light to identify them. Test all of them with the key on off position, then on accessories and finnaly with the key on the ignition position. Then test with the key in off, but with the parking lamps on, to identify the lamps tab. Good Luck.

Thanks Orench, problem is that I am not quite ready to hook up the battery yet. I guess I'll have to finish up my other wiring projects so that I can hook up the battery and check those sources.
