My tail lights work, but my turn signal doesn't work on one side. The other side is fine. Why would the light work, but the turn signal not blink? BTW: the turn signals work just fine on both sides in the front. Any help you could give would be much appreciated. Thanks

Does the brake light (not the running light) work on the rear on the same side where the turn signal doesn't work? Sounds like a burned-out bright filament in that taillight bulb; when only the front bulb works, the turn signal doesn't draw enough current to activate the flasher.

So the front blinks? Usually when a bulb burns out the remaining lamp and dash indicator lamp will come on solid and not flash. JohnZ has a good point. I wonder if you don't have a resistive short in the one circuit. But if that is the case, the brake light won't work either. If the brake light works, I'd suspect the switch.
Let us know what you find and we'll take it from there.

If you need a flasher, I have collected a few over the years.

You have more flashers than I have parts for my car! Thanks for all the advice. Hopefully I'll have time this weekend to jump on it, after I take down Christmas decorations! Mark

i think it could just be the bulb. some of the simplest things are hard.

Done. In the end, it WAS simple: the wrong wire was connected to the flasher wire on the socket. Thanks for all your great advice, as always! Mark
