First my motor wouldn't start - I discovered the wire was loose on the starter. Fixed that! Now it won't shut off - even with the key removed the dash oil light stays on?
Ignition Switch?

PLEASE give more info.
I'm up to 500 posts on this forum. The thing I see most is when people ask for help they don't give enough basic information for us to begin to help them.
Stuff like what kind of Camaro, year, engine, trans. anything non stock etc.

First gen camaros have a yellow wire that goes to the coil, it's energized only when the starter is going. If you got it connected to power it would do what you are experiencing. The yellow wire should be connected to the REL terminal on the starter. It's the one that is small and away from the block at the 9 oclock position. The purple wire goes to the three oclock position.
