You may now set the time that you prefer to use for the tech forums. No more converting between time zones.

To set your time:

Click on 'My Profile' at the top right of any tech page. (you must be logged in to see the link)

Scroll down to 'Preferences'
any you will see the following:

Time Adjustment
The current server time is:
Your computer time is:
For local times, adjust to:

Put the number listed in the adjust to: line into the box at the right. Providing your computer's time is correct this will change all the times for the posts on this forum.

Then set your date preferences and whether you want a 24hr clock or use AM/PM

Then click 'update profile' at the bottom of the page.

That should do it.

hint: while you are there, check your preferences for:
Default Topic View
change it as necessary depending on how often you visit the site.

Help, I set my time per the instructions but each time I return it displays the server time, when I check the time adjustment in My Profile it is correct, after checking, the time displays correctly until I leave and return...

What am I doing wrong?

had to re-set my time pref-- Hawaii doesnt do the move the clock time thing. so those in the time zones that dont play the game with the clocks (Arizona and parts of Indiana) will have to do the same thing.
