Has anyone ever replaced the plastic seatbelt latch covers on their seatbelts ? I know they sell the covers for around $20.00. One of mine is broken, and I came across some old seatbelts but the covers are nice. I'd like to take the cover of and put it on mine, but I have to pry so hard on it that it almost breaks. I would put the whole latch on, but it looks like I'd have to cut the stitching on the end of the belt to get it off & then sew it back; I don't really want to do that. Any ideas ? Thanks.

Ive never replaced them, but have taken them off. At the front of the buckle, about 1/2 inch back(on the sides is a tab) stick a butter knife in there on each side and they will come off.

Where did you find the belts? I need a blue one for my 68 convertible.

A friend gave them to me, sorry the belts are black. They are off of a '67, because of the white tag sewn on them. They look like my 68 belts though. The belts are a little rough looking; that's why I want to swap the plastic covers over to mine.

I also have some blue belts from a 68 if you need them, not to mention many other blue interior items.
